Every time I think things are okay
life gives me little nudges,
...little reminders
to bemuse my trudges
and to say
nothing really
is within my clutches
Existence...
...It may as well be
a dance of unrehearsed incidences,
a random collection of ascents and descents
In the midst of these consciously planned
unconscious demolitions,
unconscious demolitions,
we are
simply living out the motions
We sleep to awaken
awaken to dream
of a future
we may never see
for we create only to rupture
and build only to shatter
Relationships, Friendships
and all the other ships we build
and all the other ships we build
should really sail on one
and only one ocean
- Love
There is so much I want to say
I know,
there is much more that you would have wanted to convey
there is much more that you would have wanted to convey
Do we know when it will be done?
Maybe never, maybe someday
Sometimes the pain and hurt just take over
Love songs on the radio
Love songs on the radio
Hymns in my heart
bring endless tears
while I try to figure out
whether to scream or shout
or simply not look back
at the history of dreams
or, to a time when life was simpler
Living, playing, laughing, eating
with no shame
or aims of gain
All that mattered was the sharing
and the love
Now life and its pains take over
And............Life is truly wasted on the Living
And............Life is truly wasted on the Living
I think of you and of the others I miss
Lost tender touches, missing smiles
and that feeling of bliss
of unspoken words and unexpressed love
Be it with friends, family
or just people we have met
or just people we have met
Love, Affection, Respect, Kindness
as well as
Gratitude and Forgiveness
These are little gifts
we simply failed
to harness
to harness
In the final analysis,
it does not matter
who says what to whom
It matters even less
who says what to whom
It matters that we love and we care
That we forgive and give thanks
and that for each other,
we are always there
we are always there
For tomorrow we may be gone
and Life...
... will truly have been wasted on the Living
... will truly have been wasted on the Living
